Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in all welding processes.
- Possess a strong understanding of various codes and standards related to welding and NDT activities (EN/ISO, ASME, AWS, ASNT, etc.).
- Manage welding procedures, qualifications, and provide guidance to the welding fabrication team.
- Oversee manpower, allocate tasks, prepare weekly and monthly plans, and achieve targets with minimal defects.
- Interpret fabrication drawings accurately.
- Prepare and maintain welding procedures, processes, and relevant documentation.
- Plan weld sequencing effectively.
- Conduct failure and cause analysis on welding issues.
- Generate technical reports and work summaries.
- Educate welders about metal properties to ensure correct welding technique utilization.
- Monitor adherence to shop floor PPE for the welding fabrication team.
- Design and develop jigs and fixtures for welded components.
- Perform welding inspections.
- Coordinate with various customers.
- Manage welding consumable materials and place requisitions to MRP/store.
- Exhibit sound knowledge of Welding Automation.
- Perform NDT inspections.
- Work on process scrap reduction and monitoring.
- Possess good knowledge of QMS, EMS, OHSAS, EN 15085 Internal and External departmental Audits.
Requirements:
Location: Tirupati
CTC: 8 - 10 lacs
5 years of experience in Welding
Diploma/B.Tech in Welding Engineering
Familiarity with special welding processes, welding techniques, weld joints, joint preparation, certification, welder qualification, and jigs & fixtures.
Proficiency in the local language is preferred.
Location: Head Office (Tirupati Karkambadi)
