A subsidiary of Tata Steel, Tata Metaliks Limited has its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant at Kharagpur, West Bengal, India which produces the finest quality of pig iron and ductile iron pipes in India. The plant’s annual hot metal production capacity is 550,000 tonnes out of which 250,000 tonnes per annum is value added into ductile iron pipes and 300,000 tonnes per annum is cast into pig iron. Pig iron is used as raw material for manufacturing various kinds of castings by foundries while ductile iron pipes are used for conveyance of water and sewage. Job Description

Minimum Educational Qualifications
- Diploma or B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum Industrial Experience
- Relevant hands-on experience of at least 2-5 years in Design of Industrial Automation and Robotics Based systems.
- Well versed in the use of below mentioned software and studying engineering drawings from mechanical perspective and basic knowledge of electrical drawings and equipments.
- Experience in design of suitable end of arm tooling for robotic applications concerning cutting, grinding, air purging, pick and place, material handling having features such as multi-axial motions, on-board motorized equipments, sensors, pneumatics, electrical and electronic instruments, etc.
- Knowledge of Standards and Methodologies for the Selection of appropriate Materials for various system components and end of arm tools for different application requirements.
- Experience in design and load data analysis for different structural models.
- Brief knowledge about electrical and electronic equipments, sensors, control systems, reading electrical diagrams, PID and Hydraulic/Pneumatic circuits.
- In-depth application-level knowledge and hands on design experience of common mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Well experienced in bill of material preparation, selection of materials, user requirements analysis and technical analysis of instruments, and application specific equipments while designing for different industrial applications.
- Prior experience of robotics/automation systems designing in metal manufacturing industries (preferably Iron and Pipes) will be highly preferred.
- AutoCAD 2D and 3D
- Solidworks/Creo Parametric
- ANSYS for Load Analysis and Flow analysis
- Matlab and Simulink (good to have)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
- Qualification: Diploma or B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant hands-on experience of at least 2-5 years in Design of Industrial Automation and Robotics Based systems.
