Job Description:
Skills and Competencies:
- Cost Analysis, Knowledge of component costing for various parts
- Knowledge of Design to Cost (Target Costing) / VAVE /cost reduction
- Expertise in techno commercial negotiation skills and cost reduction skills.
- Know how on estimation of press tools, jigs and fixtures related to vendor tooling.
- Knowledge in Automobile technology and Parts is must.
- Knowledge on proto / bulk development and procurement process.
- Knowledge on selection and evaluation of new/existing vendors based on QCLDM
- Good knowledge on MS-Excel.
- Awareness of assessment and selection of new vendors,
- Good negotiation skills and proficiency in computers
- Should posses good communication & presentationskills.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Sourcing working experience and complete end to end procurement domain knowledge.
- Clean sheet Costing estimate of individual parts covering various processes like, Forging, Casting, Sheet metal, Fabrication, machining, Electricals, Proprietary, Non-metallic etc.,
- Tool cost estimation of various processes/commodities and finalization of vendor tooling.
- Negotiation with vendor and finalize the product cost with in the target cost and tooling cost.
- Cost assessment of EDM, VAVE, Commercial cost savings etc.,
- Vendor assessment.
- Commodity movement tracking and PO cost impact assessment.
- Work along with CFT in achieving Target cost.
- Make or buy decision estimates.

- 5 - 8 Years Experience
- Person having exposure Cost Analysis, Knowledge of component costing for various parts related to CASTING and FORGING, SHEET METAL, PLASTICS and ENGINE/ VEHICLE and VEHICLE PROPRIETARY Parts is must.
- Degree (BE must if mba then BE plus MBA) in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering
- Must Be from Automotive manufacturing and Automobile manufacturing industry Only
- Cost Analysis and component costing for various parts and Design to Cost (Target Costing) / VAVE /cost reduction
- 5 day work shift.
